Erin's passion for movement and fitness stems from her early years as a dancer. Her keen eye for movement patterns, together with her sense of fluidity, control, and body lines make her an ideal instructor of the late Joseph Pilates' method.

Erin began teaching dance to children in 1988 and soon expanded to teaching aerobics classes to adults in 1991. Throughout her fitness career, Erin has been at the forefront of new ideas and concepts. She was among the first to teach Hip Hop dance for fitness and Salsa aerobics, and has presented to fitness instructor conventions in these formats. She has also taught various classes including pre and post natal, group weight training, group stretch, fitness for seniors, children's fitness, corporate wellness classes, and inner city fitness programs for troubled teens. She discovered pilates in 2002, a complete circle back to her days as a dancer. Since then, Erin has completed her full STOTT PILATES® certification. She has studied in Calgary, Toronto and Edmonton and has attended conferences in California. In all of her teachings and studies in the field of fitness, Erin has not found an exercise program as effective and fully accessible to multiple types of participants as Pilates. She has enjoyed working with clients 15 - 84, men and women, professional athletes and people with joint replacements, people who have specific goals and people who just want general fitness.

Throughout her endeavors, Erin attained a degree in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan and worked in advertising, and has a strong understanding of meeting her clients needs and filling market voids. She is also the proud mother of two sons.

Erin believes that you have to enjoy your fitness routine in order to maintain it, and strives to offer a fun and inspiring environment to practice in.

Erin has now been teaching pilates full time for seven years, and opened Edmonton Pilates Centre Ltd. in 2006.
